Today in New England it was pouring rain throughout the day with occasional thunder and lightening. My favorite kind of weather to either snuggle up and rest or get creative. I took the creative road today and decided to work on a few projects as promised.
First is for a friend who is collecting raffle items for a fundraiser for a special friend. I decided to alter a photo album using a fabric graphic from my friend Jonnie's store on ebay Tobasco14. Check out her items they are breathtaking. I altered the album using a fabric graphic of the pretty purple fairy along with shimmering fabric, fibers and flowers. I tied, ripped and braided along with twisting fabrics together. For an added touch I added pearl and strands of beads along the frame of the fairy.
I hope whomever wins this beautiful album will cherish it as much as the photos they will keep inside for years to come.
and my friend Malinda is having a challenge on YouTube for Christmas in August!
Here is my entry for here Christmas Ornament Challenge!!!Made out of a children's puzzle tin. I painted and added poly fill to resemble snow. I cut out Victorian/Shabby Chic angel and added "hark the herald angel sing" sheet music. I embellished the frame with fibers and lace along with pearls and twine.
The word JOY makes this ornament sing with sparkle of its own.
